The Greenman Backpackers Accommodation is situated in the very centre of Chepstow, Monmouthshire and can be accessed from Beaufort Square or from the Main Car Park off Welsh Street. Please see the map below.

The Greenman offers facilities with panoramic views over the Town, Wye and Severn Valleys and is less than five minutes from the key visitor attractions of Chepstow, including Chepstow Castle, the Norman Church and Town Museum. There are numerous eateries and watering holes in the town of Chepstow. Mick and Ness would happily point you towards them.

The centre of Chepstow offers varied entertainment and events ranging from Acoustic Music, Films in the Drill Hall, the Dance Club and Saturday Street Markets. Chepstow also offers a bi annual Arts Festival, the annual (April) Walkers are Welcome Festival, Hoggin’ the Bridge and our own Wassail and Mari Lwyd in January.

We are situated in the very centre of it all!

The hostel takes room bookings for all of the above and for more casual visitors. Be prepared… you may want to stay another night!

Excellent hostel in a building full of history. Clean, spacious, comfortable and conveniently located in the heart of Chepstow - just a few minutes-walk to the castle and the Old Wye Bridge. The perfect base for a trip to Tintern Abbey too. Welcoming and helpful staff - Will definitely be coming back!
