All bookings agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions.
Check-in after 15.00. If you are earlier, we’ll look after your luggage and leave you free to explore Chepstow.
Check-out by 10.30. Late check-out will incur an additional charge equivalent to the per night rate being charged.
Please note that all personal belongings MUST be cleared for check-out and taken with you. We do have a lost property facility but will accept no responsibility for any personal items left after departure.
We need a photo identification such as a driving license or passport for check-in. Sorry, student cards are not accepted.
There is limited car-parking to the rear of The Greenman and a pay-and-display town car park immediately behind our building, parking is free from 5.30pm until 8am and free on Sunday. Please note we do not reserve car parking spaces except for special circumstances such as disability.
Group booking of 5 people or more must be made by telephone. A group leader must be nominated and that person will be responsible for the group and also be responsible for all group payment, individual payments of group members are not allowed. The group leader will also be responsible for the group deposit against damage or breakages.
Individual bookings made without declaring group membership will be declined. Individual who do check-in without declaring group membership will be asked to leave.
Families are very welcome and we offer reductions for children under 13 years old. Please book family accommodation sufficient for your family party.
The Greenman has plentiful and flexible accommodation for male, female and mixed parties as well as dedicated family rooms. It is important that you state your gender or mixed/non-mixed preferences as per the allocated fields in the online booking form, or when booking by telephone or email. The Greenman will always endeavor to fit all parties in the rooms they require but guests will understand that this may not always be possible. The Greenman does not guarantee room allocation as requested at time of booking.
Payment by credit card or debit card is accepted. All bookings must be pre-paid. Deposits are taken by securing a payment via credit or debit card. The money will not be taken from your account unless the deposit is forfeited by damage, breakage, or any other reason levied by the Greenman management. (See guest behaviour)
We know you’d want to cancel only for a good reason but we must have at least 48 hours’ notice if you pre-payment is to be repaid. Late cancellation charge will be the equivalent of one night at the rate at which you booked.

Cancellation by telephone will not be accepted.
Early departures are not refundable. Late departures will be charged at an additional one-night stay rate as booked. Advanced bookings are non-transferable, non-refundable and non-cancellable. No-shows will forfeit the full amount of their booking.
Booking amendments must be made by email 48 hours before due check-in. We will always try to accommodate your amendments but cannot guarantee this. Amendments subject to availability. Group bookings cancellation or amendments must be made by email at least four weeks prior to due check-in day.
Bookings made for any Greenman special packages or for any special event offered by the Greenman or being held in Chepstow or locally must be canceled at least four weeks prior to the due date of check-in.
For cancellations made after the four week before deadline: If we are able to find other(s) to take tour place we will waive your charges, if not the charge in full will be applied.
For special Greenman events or events being organized or offered by Greenman or for special events or occasions in Chepstow or locally there will be a minimum stay of two nights or for the entire duration of the event if it is more than two nights.
We take great pride in the Greenman and want you to enjoy your stay with us – and we want you to enjoy being with each other. So please behave as you expect others to behave with courtesy and consideration. Comfort, safety and security come first for all of our sake.
Anyone who, in the opinion of the Greenman management, contravenes these guidelines will be asked to leave without refund.
Anyone who damages the Greenman structure, fixtures or fittings will be charged for repair, replacement or reparation. If a damage or action incurring loss or cost is discovered after departure, your credit/debit card will be charged for reparation.
For any items removed without consent, a charge in full will be made on your credit / debit card before or after departure.
Where any costs or charges are involved the Greenman will, in good faith, attempt to keep such costs to a minimum.
There is an allocated and covered smoking area outside and to the rear of the property. There is absolutely no smoking inside the property or beyond the designated area on our grounds. Smoking where prohibited will result in instant departure without refund.
Alcohol is not permitted in any part of the Greenman building except that which is supplied by The Greenman in designated areas. Drugs are ABSOLUTELY NOT PERMITTED ANYWHERE on the premises.
The Greenman shall store only information as supplied by you which is necessary for the records we are required to keep and to facilitate the booking, payment and fulfilment of our de-facto contract with you. We may also keep your email address, unless asked specifically not to by email, so we can share news, special offers and promotions with you.
Only paying guests are allowed in the rooms. Visitors are not allowed in the rooms. Visitors must report to reception. Visitors are not allowed to use the showers or the kitchen.
All rooms are by card entry only. Tour card is issued to you on check-in and becomes your responsibility.
There are closed-circuit cameras through the Greenman; these are for your security.
NOTE – we make every effort to keep the Greenman safe and secure. However we accept no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of property no matter how sustained or caused.
Each guest is allocated a personal locker – guests are asked to bring their own small padlock to secure their locker. The Greenman cannot be responsible for any loss, damage or any other claim in respect of personal belongings whether in a locker provided or elsewhere on the property, inside or out.
We accept bookings subject to availability and reserve the right to decline any booking at our own discretion.
If we make any errors or suffer any oversights to any website or published, printed or spoken information, including orders, quotations, acknowledgements or invoices or any other documentation we shall endeavor to correct such errors or oversights with all reasonable speed and advise you of such error or oversight at the time of booking or as soon as reasonably possible thereafter.
